Giving Every Kid a Chance to Grow
The Warrior Legacy Project provides scholarships that give kids the chance to discover who they are and what they can become. Many families struggle to afford the activities that help kids grow — sports, music, and the arts — and too many young people miss out on opportunities that build confidence, discipline, creativity, and purpose. Our scholarships remove those barriers.
We support kids who show heart, effort, and a desire to grow, regardless of their background or financial situation. Whether it’s a sport that builds teamwork, resilience, discipline, leadership, and physical fitness; an art class that sparks creativity and self-expression; or music that strengthens focus, confidence, and emotional expression — we believe every kid deserves the chance to pursue their passions.
These scholarships are designed to help kids grow into confident, capable, and resilient young leaders. By giving them access to sports, arts, and music, we help them build the skills, character, and discipline that will carry them into adulthood. When kids thrive, families grow stronger and communities become more connected.

Who Can Apply
Age Range
Kids and teens ages 8– 18 are eligible to apply.
Heart, Effort & Desire to Grow
We look for kids who show heart, effort, a willingness to learn, and a desire to grow in their chosen activity. Skill level is not a deciding factor.
Participation in Sports, Arts, or Music
Scholarships may be used for sports programs, leagues, or equipment; art classes, supplies, or workshops; and music lessons, instruments, or performance opportunities.
Program or Activity Details
Name of the program, season dates, cost, or any helpful information that ensures the scholarship is applied correctly.
Financial Need
We do not require tax
Community Connection
Applicants must live in Larimer or Weld County, Colorado. Service area will expand in the future.
Parent/Guardian Consent
A parent or guardian must approve the application.
Short Personal Statement
A few sentences from the child about why the activity matters to them.
Coach / Teacher / Instructor Note
Optional. A brief note from a coach, teacher, or instructor who can speak to the child's effort, character, or interest.
Proof of Enrollment After Award
Once selected, families may provide a receipt, registration confirmation, or program contact so funds go directly to the correct activity.

How to Apply
Step 1 — Complete the Online Application
Fill out a short form with basic info, program details, and explanation of need.
Step 2 — Add Optional Supporting Materials
Include personal statement, coach note, photo, or other helpful documents.
Step 3 — Application Review
We review every application with a focus on heart, effort, and potential.
Step 4 — Award Notification
You'll be notified by email if a scholarship has been awarded.
Step 5 — Funds Distributed
Whenever possible, scholarship funds are paid directly to the program or organization to ensure accuracy and reduce financial burden on families.
Step 6 — Optional Follow-Up
Families may share a photo, a short update, or a note about the child's experience. These help celebrate impact and inspire future supporters, but they are always optional.s.

Who can apply for a scholarship?
Kids and teens ages 8–18 who live in Larimer or Weld County, Colorado and want to
participate in sports, arts, or music programs.
Do kids need to be "good" at their activity to qualify?
No. We look for heart, effort, and a desire to grow — not skill level, awards, or
experience.
What types of activities do you fund?
We support sports programs, leagues, camps, or equipment; art classes, workshops,
or supplies; and music lessons, instruments, or performance opportunities. If the
activity helps a child grow, build confidence, or develop character, it likely qualifies.
Is financial need required?
Yes. Families simply explain why financial assistance would help. We do not require
tax returns or invasive documentation.
What information do I need to apply?
Basic contact information, the child’s age and activity, program details (name,
dates, cost), and a short explanation of financial need. Optional items include a
personal statement, a coach/teacher note, or a photo.
Do I need to upload tax forms or financial documents?
No. We intentionally avoid burdensome paperwork. A simple explanation is enough.
How often are scholarships awarded?
Applications are reviewed monthly, and families are notified within two weeks of
each review cycle.
How are scholarship funds distributed?
Whenever possible, funds are paid directly to the program or organization. If direct
payment isn’t available, we may reimburse families with a receipt.
Can I apply more than once?
Yes. If your child wasn’t selected or has a new opportunity later in the year, you’re
welcome to reapply.
What if the program my child wants to join starts soon?
Apply right away. We review applications monthly, but if a program deadline is
urgent, families can note that in the application and we will do our best to
accommodate.
Do you require follow-up photos or stories?
No. Families may share updates if they want to — but it’s always optional.
Will my child's information be kept private?
Yes. We protect all personal information and only share photos or stories with
explicit permission.
Can homeschool families apply?
Absolutely. As long as the child lives in Larimer or Weld County and meets the age
and activity criteria, they are eligible.
What if we don't know the exact program yet?
You can still apply. Just provide as much detail as possible, and update us once the
program is confirmed.
